Do i legally have to tell my bank my change of address

because im in debt and going to try and wiggle out of it based on the 6 year wait till they clear it ... any advice!?

To answer your question no you do not have to tell your bank if you change addresses.

But if you think that simply because the reporting time line expires you don't still owe the debt your sadly mistaken. The time line in the U.S.A. for derogatory accounts to drop off your report is 7-years from the date of first delinquency which works out to 7-years and 180-days but this has nothing to do with you still owing the debt,

This is another time line called the statute of limitations which is the time your creditors can legally take you to court and seek a judgment which can be as long as 10-years based on which State you live in and the type of debt you owe.
