What do I do to see if I'm eligable for a lower rate of car insurance?

When I first got insurance this April I went to Insurance.com and typed in all of my info and then they showed me which company would be cheapest for me. I signed up with a company and now my policy is up in October. I had received an email from Insurance.com saying I may be eligable for a discount as of 8/20 because one of my speeding tickets was being wiped off my record. So I forwarded that email and asked my insurance provider customer service about it. Did I do the right thing or should I call them or what? Thanks.

Call your current company and ask if you will be eligible for a lower rate due to the speeding ticket being wiped off. They may state that you have to be at least 1 year from the date to be eligible for a discount.

If they will not lower your premium, then go back and redo your info to see if other companies will give you a lower rate than your current company.

all you have to do is make the phone call and/or research other companies to see if you can get cheaper.

good luck
