Does putting your credit card in a block of ice in the freezer actually work? Like will it damage the magnetic strip on the card or anything?

I tried it but a hairdryer solves the problem too easily.

I have to bury mine in a six foot hole to stop temptation! I hate using a shovel.

P.S it does not damage the magnetic swipe, it only destroys the "method to the madness".
