Is the "Full feature software and driver" download on the HP website the same thing? HP keeps giving me the run around, wanting me to set up an account and register this and that. It's a simple yes or no question but they refuse to answer it until I go through a whole bunch of unnecessary crap.

Yes. They have all the software that came with the printer. You just may have to register to download it.
If not then just make sure you are downloading the right software for your printer or it may not work properly.
